  • Battle Buddies - Official Raffle Organizer

    Helping Veterans Heal with the Power of a Dog

    Battle Buddies is a South Carolina–based nonprofit that trains and places service dogs with veterans living with PTSD and other service-related challenges. These highly trained dogs provide emotional support, stability, and companionship to help veterans regain independence and improve their quality of life.

    How Golden Day Supports Battle Buddies:
    • A portion of sponsor and vendor fees from the event will be donated to Battle Buddies.
    • Battle Buddies will serve as the official raffle organizer, raising funds at the event.

  • Defenders For Children - Pup Cup Beneficiary

    Protecting Children Through Advocacy and Investigation Support

    Defenders for Children works closely with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office to support investigations involving crimes against children. Their Golden Retriever is specially trained to detect hidden electronic devices, helping investigators locate critical evidence in cases involving child predators.

    How Golden Day Supports Defenders for Children:

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to own a golden retriever to come?

Not at all! While this event celebrates golden retrievers, anyone who loves dogs is welcome to attend.

Are other dog breeds allowed?

Yes! While golden retrievers are the stars of the day, all friendly, well-socialized dogs are welcome. We simply ask that all dogs are comfortable in busy environments and around other dogs.

Does my dog need to be leashed?

Yes. All dogs must be leashed at all times for the safety of guests, vendors, and fellow pups.

What if it rains?

GoldenDay is a rain or shine event. We’ll be there either way! ☀️🌧

What if my dog isn’t comfortable in large crowds?

GoldenDay is expected to draw a strong turnout. If your dog is anxious, reactive, or uncomfortable in busy environments, this may not be the best setting for them. We want it to be safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Is parking available?

Yes! BridgeWay Station has surrounding parking. We recommend arriving early to secure a convenient spot.
